Today was the Educational Psychology test. Although not everyone will relate to this...those 11 students in Craig's class will know what I mean. How nice was he?!?!? I thought that the test was very fair. Yes, there might have been one or two questions that I was hesitant about, but overall it was a good test.
I have overwhelming test anxiety, so I feel great right now to be finished. Each and every thing that we complete and hand in this year is a HUGE stress release. I can finally have a nice nap or watch t.v. when I get home tonight instead of studying or working on an assignment. That is left until tomorrow!! Any night off I can get, I'll take!!
Well, I hope you can all agree with me class, the test is done and we should be so happy about it!! 20% of our mark is complete. It's not until next week when we are sitting and waiting to get our tests back that we can resume stressing out!!
Try to have a nice night members of Craig's class...we all deserve a little pat on the back!!
Congrats,
Sheila

Hi Sheila!
You could not be more correct about the educational psychology test! (and about Craig!) I thought it was extremely fair, and I really appreciate that he for the most part only put things on the test that he said he would put on. It was nice as well that he related that to OUR teaching, and how we should not "trick" our students and quiz them on irrelevant material (which I'm sure is something that we have ALL experienced in our time at Brock). I thought your post was extremely insightful, and I am also VERY relieved that 20% of our mark is now accounted for. I had test anxiety as well, but after actually writing the test, I realize I had it for no reason. I hope the next one goes just as well!
I also found that the Educational Pyschology test was very fair, there were few surprises although I still do not remember hearing about action research (although I am sure he talked about it). So far this class has been one of the most practical and applicable classes for me. Craig does his best to make everything we do in this class apply directly to what we will encounter while teaching in Block 1, 2 or eventually in our own classroom. I am definitely going to make sure that any tests I do are clearly defined ahead of time and hopefully once the students begin to trust that I am not out to 'trick' them they will have less test anxiety and truly be able to reach their potential.
