Once the Drama Ends....the Music Begins

Well, today was the first day of music class. I don't know if other people will agree, but I was hesitant about starting this class....for a few different reasons:

1) I loved our Drama teacher and our class. It was so helpful for our own teaching blocks and very "hands on".
2) I am not musically inclined. I have no "hear" for sound and I have a very difficult time understanding the elements and techniques of music.

Despite my initial hesitation, the first class went relatively well. I loved the songs we sang and the overall structure of the course. The instructor went over the basics of music very slowly and carefully which was great for someone like me who has NO IDEA what they're doing. The final project seems like it will be a lot of work...but at least it will be helpful to use in a music class that we may be teaching in the future!

So, as the course continues, I hope it will stay at a very basic level so that I am not "in over my head". I'm sure I'll be alright, I hope at least!!

Thanksgiving!!

Back at school for the week, however I can not ignore how wonderful it was to have Monday off from school. Since I was travelling about 3 hours North of St. Catharine's, it felt so nice to have a long weekend and enjoy good food with my family. During Tuesday morning classes, I could see that everyone was soooo tired! We all looked desperate for some extra "sleep in" time. It's strange how the more time we have to relax, the more tired we end up!!! It always seems to work out that way, however I will NEVER promote taking that time away!
Well, this is a short week, and I suppose we could all GIVE THANKS for that!! This upcoming weekend will probably be the time to sleep and rest up to face school again on Monday!
Thanksgiving was definitely special and appreciated at my house. I hope the same for everyone else!!
My thoughts go out to everyone on the successful completion of the week. I know we are all probably exhausted, but we're all in the same boat, and I know we can survive it!!!

Remember to appreciate the good things in LIFE,

Sheila

Yes...First Test Complete!!

Today was the Educational Psychology test. Although not everyone will relate to this...those 11 students in Craig's class will know what I mean. How nice was he?!?!? I thought that the test was very fair. Yes, there might have been one or two questions that I was hesitant about, but overall it was a good test.
I have overwhelming test anxiety, so I feel great right now to be finished. Each and every thing that we complete and hand in this year is a HUGE stress release. I can finally have a nice nap or watch t.v. when I get home tonight instead of studying or working on an assignment. That is left until tomorrow!! Any night off I can get, I'll take!!
Well, I hope you can all agree with me class, the test is done and we should be so happy about it!! 20% of our mark is complete. It's not until next week when we are sitting and waiting to get our tests back that we can resume stressing out!!

Try to have a nice night members of Craig's class...we all deserve a little pat on the back!!

Congrats,

Sheila
